Step 4: Team Analysis
Now that you've read through the work...
1. Choose one person's pdf copy to use as your team master plan.
2. Highlight each instance of a literary device that your team found.
3. Insert a text by each highlighted section to indicate which kind of literary device you believe it is. You must indicate which kind of literary device in some way. If you want to use shorthand, use the key to the left to indicate which literary devices you think are present. (Hint, sometimes one excerpt can include more than one literary device.)
4. Submit your master copy via email or however your teacher specifies.

Step 5: Present Your Mission
Now is the time for your team to present your findings! Combine your strengths and create a memorable presentation that will blow your classmates' minds! 1. First check out the rubric here! 2. Pick your presentation tool! You can use Prezi, Adobe Voice, Comic Maker, a video recorder, Powerpoint, Haiku Deck, Show Me, or any other media that is approved by your teacher.
3. What are the strengths of Poe's piece? Pick your favorite literary devices! Include at least one example of each kind that you found in Edgar's work. There should be at least five examples in your presentation. 4. Be creative! Your presentation must feature your favorite literary devices, but you have lots of flexibility for what else you want to do with it. |
